Next Of Kin Notification For Absent Without Authority

Key Points to Writing
  • WRITE!!! The more you do it, the better you get.
  • Ask for HELP, the only person looking out for #1 is you.
  • The only person looking out for your subordinates is YOU!
  • Use a spell checker.  F7 works good in MS Word.
  • Use various writing resources like Merriam-Webster Online.

The following Next Of Kin Notification For Absent Without Authority (10 Day letter) Example has been taken out of a Word.  If you have anything you would like to submit, please do so.  If you have found this information useful, please let me know. Everyone of these letters has taken considerable amount of time to put together.  Please treat yourself to something special from one of the ads on the page.  We will both get something out of it.  (All money gathered pays for hosting fees and domain fees.  HONESTLY, when I see money come in it also prompts me to work harder on the site.)

Dear Mr. and Mrs. <LNAME>,

This letter is to advise you that your son, <RANK> <FNAME> <MI>. <LNAME> SN 123-45-6789, has been absent without authority since <TIME> PM, <DAY> <MONTH> <YEAR>. If you know of his whereabouts at this time, please advise him to return to his organization immediately; also, notify the nearest military installation. He should go to the nearest military installation for transportation back to this base. His continued absence will only add to the seriousness of the offense and will result in his being dropped from the Air Force rolls as a deserter. If he is placed in a deserter status, his dependants, if any claimed will be ineligible for medical care and other benefits and privileges.

Absence without authority, while a serious offense, is not as series as desertion. Should your son remain absent, he may be court-martialed upon his return to military control and, if convicted, he could possibly receive a loss of pay, allowances, and government insurance; reduction in grade; a bad conduct or dishonorable discharge; and/or confinement.

In view of the above, I am sure you understand that your son is subjecting himself to more severe consequences each additional day he remains absent.

If you desire to answer this letter, please address your letter to (Your UNIT STREET ADDRESS, CITY, STATE, ZIP CODE) .
