SUBJECT: Letter of Reprimand - Assault
1. Investigation has disclosed that on or about 6 Apr 03, you violated Article 134 of the Uniform
Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Specifically, you committed indecent assault upon the spouse
of another military member. Your actions led to your arrest by the Goldsboro Police Department
and brought discredit upon your unit and the United States Air Force.
2. You are hereby reprimanded. You have engaged in aberrant behavior which will not be
tolerated from a member of the United States Air Force. Your past behavior has raised serious
questions about your ability to remain in the United States Air Force. Although you were
intoxicated at the time of this incident, your actions regarding this matter were reprehensible.
Military members are expected to conduct themselves with dignity and honor, both on and off
duty. Your behavior has damaged Seymour Johnson Air Force Base’s relationship with the local
community, and brought shame to everyone that wears our uniform. You need to recommit
yourself to our core values and strive diligently to reestablish your dependability. If you ever
behave in this manner again, I will take the harshest action allowable against you.
3. PRIVACY ACT. AUTHORITY: 10 U.S.C. 8013. PURPOSE: To obtain any comments
or documents you desire to submit (on a voluntary basis) for consideration concerning this
action. ROUTINE USES: Provides you an opportunity to submit comments or documents for
consideration. If provided, the comments and documents you submit become a part of the action.
DISCLOSURE: Your written acknowledgment of receipt and signature is mandatory. Any
other comment or document you provide is voluntary.
4. You will acknowledge receipt and return this letter to me within 3 workdays of your receipt.
Your signature on this document is solely for receipt purposes and is not an admission of guilt.
Any comments or documents you wish to be considered concerning this LOR must be included
with your response.
